Implemented by RWAMREC and NOVAH, Twubakane is a six-episode radio drama (inspired by a successful Ugandan initiative) broadcast on RC Musanze to prevent domestic violence and promote gender equality in Rwanda. A quantitative survey was commissioned in the North Province to measure listener reach, audience engagement, and overall impact.

Evaluation design & key metrics: using a pre-post design with treatment and control groups, female participants completed surveys at baseline and six weeks post-intervention, while treatment couples attended group listening sessions. The study evaluated changes in intimate partner violence (IPV), relationship quality, mental health, and gender norms to guide future project improvements and scaling.
