Project Overview
The EES Kayonza project aimed to strengthen community resilience by promoting sustainable practices such as energy-saving cooking stoves, tree nursery enterprises, agroforestry and fruit tree planting, and waste composting. It also focused on building community capacity through training and empowering local instructors and self-help group (SHG) members.
The project’s Theory of Change was that by providing households with practical skills, tools, and support networks, families would adopt sustainable practices, improve their incomes, and enhance their quality of life in environmentally responsible ways.
